This Allard must be one of if not the best aluminium bodied M types still in existence. It has a 3.9 V8 59A flat head Ford engine through a three speed gearbox. It was supplied to Tates of Leads England in February 1949 and its colour is Old English White with red interior. It has been restored over a number of years with very little use over the period of its restoration. The car spent many years in France before being moved to the Jersey in 1983 where it stayed until I bought it in 2015 and continued the good work. The engine was completely rebuilt to the highest standard by H&H Flatheads of California. There was too much done to list here but I do have the receipts which show clearly done. I have many other receipts for other work which I am happy to read to any prospective owner. In the two years I have owned the car I have cleaned and refitted the instruments, improved the dashboard, renewed control cables, re upholstered all the seats flooring and boot, rehung the doors, fitted and new clutch because the existing one had a fault, had a new stainless steel exhaust system specially made to my own specification, upgraded and rebuilt the radiator, and fitted a new chrome plated alternator/dynamo. I can honestly say that as far as I’m aware there is nothing left to do to this car which is why I have decided to sell it to clear space for another project. It is a show winner without a doubt just look at the pictures of the engine which I can send on request.
